Fontenelle, Ph.D. Sarah is a licensed developmental psychologist, which means her education and experience extend across research, academic, applied, and professional settings. She earned her doctorate in experimental psychology with an emphasis on infant and toddler development from Tulane University, and her master’s in school psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi. Subsequent to graduate school, Sarah worked as an inspector and evaluator for the Office of Inspector General for the City of New Orleans for six years then, after the birth of her twin daughters, completed three years of clinical supervision for licensure. Sarah approaches her work from a dynamic systems theory of human development and considers the multitude of biological and environmental forces interacting across space and time to impact an individual’s ability to adapt, learn, and succeed. Sarah is particularly passionate about educating and working closely with parents to improve their confidence and relationships with their children in ways that promote each child’s optimal development and academic success in school.
